Nieke is a wonderful BABS!
We are an international couple (Dutch-English) and although almost all Dutch BABS we met with, we met four in total!, could speak English, Nieke had a naturalness to her conversation in English that made such a difference.
She is so friendly and open, and we immediately clicked with her in our first meeting. Once we had chosen Nieke, she also assisted us with the legal side of things too with the gemeente, witnesses, licences etc. which helped a lot during what can be a stressful time.
And after our second chat which took place at our house, a few weeks before the wedding, we came away feeling like we had known Nieke for years!
Nieke really took the time to get to know us, both individually and as a couple. It was so important to us that our friends and family could understand, feel included and relate to us during our ceremony, and Nieke made sure that was top priority. Nieke also took the time to call some of our friends and family in the weeks leading up to the wedding, so that she could get different perspectives and stories. She put those she talked to completely at ease and it was so meaningful to have their anecdotes and feelings shared during our special day.
The ceremony was filled with love and laughter and importantly, was so unique to us: all our guests were amazed by how personal it was, definitely not your standard legal ceremony!
If you are looking for a kind, funny, smart and joyous celebrant then you cannot do better than Nieke.
